Keep up to date – what has happened – what is going to happen

In April we hosted our second annual lecture with John Stewart giving a Fantastic lecture about Alvar Alto, this was an extremely interesting talk and very well received by all who attended. Our most sincere thanks go from all of us at the branch to John for coming along and giving us the talk.

In the next couple of weeks, we will be circulating a survey to try and gauge how best the branch, with the help of the regional office can engage with the membership. Please, could you all take some time to fill in the whole survey as constructively as possible.

Join the Trustees of Turn End Trust and staff from Waddesdon Manor for a private tour of Flint House and the Windmill Hill Archive building, both set in the heart of the Waddesdon Estate.  Meet for coffee at Waddesdon Cricket Pavilion, a Rothschild building also on the Waddesdon Estate.   Join Pippa Shirley, Head of Collections and Gardens for a tour of Flint House, the winner of the 2015 RIBA House of the Year Award and Catherine Taylor, Head Archivist for a tour of Windmill Hill and look at a selection of Archive material.  Enjoy a private screening in the Bawden Room of the film Turn End, a new 45 minute documentary by award-winning film director Murray Grigor and Director of Photography Hamid Shams.
